New CT Scanning Contract with Birmingham NHS Trust
We’re pleased to announce a new contract with a Birmingham NHS Trust to manage CT scanning services. The agreement will see RMS delivering CT scans six days a week, significantly bolstering capacity and helping to reduce radiology waiting lists for patients across the region.
Improved imaging services
RMS’s experienced radiographers and clinical support workers will ensure high-quality and timely scanning services. The initiative is part of the NHS Trust’s ongoing efforts to address increased patient demand for imaging services and improve access to diagnostics for those awaiting care. RMS’ team will work in close collaboration with the in-house radiology department to reduce radiology waiting times and enhance patient outcomes.

The contract comes at a critical time, as healthcare across the UK continues to recover from the pressures brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to increased waiting times for diagnostic imaging. RMS will be instrumental in helping to address these backlogs at the Midlands-based Trust by enhancing their CT scanning capacity.
The collaboration will begin immediately, with RMS’ CT scanning services operating six days a week for the duration of the contract, ensuring that more patients are seen and treated without unnecessary delays.
