RMS, the radiology scanning specialist, has expanded its reach into Yorkshire with the addition of a 12-month contract in Yorkshire that will see their highly trained CT radiographers running a 7-day 12-hour service to support an onsite mobile unit as well as increasing inhouse CT capacity at a separate site.

The demand for CT scans has seen a significant increase during and following the Covid-19 pandemic and many Trusts are looking at ways to increase the number of patients scanned per day through expanding the opening hours of a radiology department and running additional CT mobile or modular units.

Clinical Director Bill Bailey commented about the contract win “We are here to help the NHS through these uncertain times dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and we are pleased to support this Yorkshire-based Trust to scan and diagnose as many patients as quickly as possible. Our team of highly trained radiographers help to alleviate the pressure on a busy radiology department.”
