Under the framework agreement Trusts can access RMS radiology services including managed services, staffing solutions, static and mobile services as well as capacity assessments and consultancy.
RMS Clinical Director Bill Bailey commented “We are delighted to again be awarded the framework agreement through the Countess of Chester NHS Trust. The framework means that our customers can easily access our services without going to tender, with the assurance that the process is OJEU compliant. We work with many NHS Trusts to establish additional capacity within their radiology department, meaning that more patients can be scanned and on their way to diagnosis and treatment.”
RMS recently won the Excellence in Supply Award for best value-based procurement for its radiology services. The award recognised the value that RMS provides in delivering innovative radiology services to NHS Trusts and the savings that can be made through using existing NHS scanning equipment rather than putting costly mobile units on site. RMS work with Trusts to evaluate the capacity available within a diagnostic imaging department and will open and staff the department out of hours and at weekends to increase capacity, helping patients to be scanned and diagnosed as quickly as possible. RMS work with many Trusts to provide an 18-hour working day, seeing the department open from 6am until midnight.
RMS helped its NHS customers save over £3.3m last year, completing over 100,000 scans for the NHS.
