RMS, a leading healthcare staffing and management solutions provider, is thrilled to announce that they have secured contracts to staff and manage Community Diagnostic Centres across two prominent healthcare facilities in the UK – Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.
These centres are responsible for, amongst other things, providing diagnostic imaging services to patients, and RMS will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of these facilities.
The newly secured contracts will cover the provision of highly skilled radiographers and support staff to manage and operate the MR and CT diagnostic imaging equipment at both locations.
With vast knowledge and experience of working in the NHS, RMS aids NHS Trusts in meeting their diagnostic imaging targets by enhancing radiology capacity while preserving the high standards that patients expect. RMS’ specialist knowledge spans Mobile, modular and in-house MRI, CT and Ultrasound diagnostic imaging, staffing these departments up to 18 hours a day and at the weekend, with our highly experienced team of radiographers. You can learn more about our inhouse and outsourced radiology solutions, including MR, CT and Ultrasound services, here.
Community Diagnostic Centres were first introduced by the UK government in 2019 as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. This plan aimed to improve the quality of healthcare services and provide patients with faster access to essential diagnostic tests and treatment.
The government recognised the need to address the growing demand for diagnostic services and the challenges faced by patients in accessing these services in a timely manner. By introducing Community Diagnostic Centres, the government aimed to provide patients with access to high-quality diagnostic services in their local communities, reducing the need for them to travel long distances to larger hospitals for diagnostic tests.
With their extensive experience in healthcare staffing and management solutions, RMS is well-positioned to provide the necessary expertise and support to these trusts to ensure that the Community Diagnostic Centres are staffed with highly skilled professionals who can deliver the highest level of care to patients.
This contract, to manage two prominent healthcare facilities in the UK – Lancashire Teaching Hospitals and Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, represents a significant milestone for RMS and their ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare organisations in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients across the UK.
